I usually leave a trail of dead party members behind me because I keep missing those five-second side-conversations earlier in the game that somehow butterfly-effect themselves into someone dying. I lost Lydia somewhere in a Skyrim dungeon, and she was murdered by elder tech while I was off looting. But playing Dragon Age: Inquisition , I felt like the game was designed around my awkward clumsiness. Here is the tale of how I ended up with three love interests. It all started with Dorian. Something about his wit, sarcasm, and stupid tiny mustache drew me to him, and in typical RPG style, I ignored all other characters for every chance I could get to trigger new dialogue with him.
Dragon Age: Inquisition
In Dragon Age: Inquisition , the Inquisitor of either gender and any race can pursue a romance. Unlike in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II , where it was possible to romance only the companions , Inquisition offers romantic interests for companions as well as non-companions, namely advisors. The Inquisitor can flirt with any romanceable and sometimes non-romanceable character they wish.
A single flirt choice in dialogue does not lock the Inquisitor into a romance unless specifically prompted, so any and all available characters may be flirted with throughout the game, if desired. Blackwall is the exception as flirting with him after moving to Skyhold softlocks his romance.
Dragon Age: Inquisition. There are eight potential romances in the game, all of whom are either companions or advisors. Blackwall (female only); Cassandra.
The new site update is up! Join me inside for spoilerific beanplating about emotional attachments to fictional characters. I’m using a multiple romance mod because I am a greedy little inquisitor. Now, and rather unexpectedly, I am really, really bummed about Solas’s real identity and true nature, and similarly sad to learn about Blackwall and Bull. Given that I got this game primarily to explore all the romances, and given that I am an emotional person who takes fictional digital romances very seriously, is it still worth it to romance each of those companions or should I just stick to Cullen since he doesn’t end up being a humongous dickhead at the end of the game?
I guess what I want to know is are each of their story arcs and special side quests emotionally satisfying enough to make up for their eventual betrayals I legit started wailing when I read Solas’s storyline and my family was so concerned — until I told them I was crying about a video game character and then things got very quiet and awkward. Iron Bull’s romance has two potential paths, though. Do you want further spoilers because idk really how to talk about it without 10, probably unnecessary details.
You ever meet someone you’re attracted to but know that things would never work out in the long run? Where you have coffee, or dinner, or museum hop, or quiet nights in? Where you’ve got the hots for someone who looks sharp and has a sharper wit, whose kisses stun you and whose eyes you get lost in following what seems like an infinite trail of reflected streetlamps? And you find yourself lonesome and terribly sad knowing things won’t work out in the end when you recall all the beautiful things you’ve discovered in and with this person, or you find yourself lightened and relieved knowing things won’t work out in the end when you have spats over this-or-that: things inconsequential, things devastating.
Let’s Play Dragon Age Inquisition. We like it too. Why not check out some similar LPs from our recommendations? What would you like to tag this LP as?
“I love you (my) heart” said Solas in elven to Lavellan, the Elven Inquisitor. Best romance of Dragon Age Inquisition (here there be spoilers for the game).
There are spies around every corner, templars and mages fighting to the death, and dark, heinous creatures ready to kill you slowly with the Blight that brings you inches closer to madness while you tear off your own skin. Will your favorite partner hold up? You can choose to save face and end the romance there, or proclaim your intent to continue the relationship.
His romance starts sad, is sad throughout the middle, and will hopefully have a happy end- right? The romance, like any other, has to start with flirting. As soon as you arrive at Skyhold, Blackwall will reject your advances if you flirt with him. Later he wants to explain, but in private, which takes place at the Storm Coast being pelted by torrents of rain.
Very romantic. What is it with your companions and lies? Free him from prison, and you two can share a special kiss in Skyhold in front of all the people who expected you to judge the lying murderer. Josephine, your loyal advisor, ambassador and chief diplomat is an option for the two Inquisitor genders to romance. Josie will still have a personal quest for you to complete Of Somewhat Fallen Fortune , which is when the romance can be officially initiated.
The more exciting part in this romance is that, after the Montilyet parents have suddenly betrothed Josephine to an Antivan Lord, you can choose to duel him for the hand of your sweet Ruffles. After she interrupts your battle you can again break off the romance or confirm it, sharing another kiss.

Dragon Age Inquisition Review
The weight of the world may be on your shoulders, but that doesn’t mean you won’t find love along the way. Dragon Age: Inquisition has multiple romance options available, some specific to certain genders and races. You don’t have to romance someone, since you might not find someone you want to cozy up with, and that’s perfectly fine.
However, for those who want to take the romantic plunge, we are giving you some insight into each character to help you make the decision.
But playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, I felt like the game was it was more like a clingy guy that thinks one date is a tangible commitment.
Many modern role-playing games have begun to include options to begin a romance with some of the game’s characters. No matter what type of character you play there will be a romance option. Female characters have more romance options with six; male characters have five romance options four without the Trespasser expansion. Most of these romances are initiated by occasional flirting and winning the approval of your choice in partner.
Completing the personal quest of the character you want a relationship with is also usually a requirement. Be warned, there are spoilers below, so continue at your own risk. There is no true relationship possible with Bellise though. Lace might confront the player regarding their intentions toward her if the player flirts with her too much. The player can then choose to begin a relationship with Lace — but again, only with the Trespasser expansion.
Continue building the relationship by joining her in pranks. At this point, the player can enter into a committed relationship with Sera. The player will get a quest at some point after entering the relationship to get Sera a gift. Simply talk to everyone companions and then talk to Sera.
Playing a Qunari in Dragon Age: Inquisition is the worst
We also know that Seheron, the island where the Qunari people reside, may also be visited in the next Dragon Age, thanks to their constant warring with the Imperium. Fans will know him as the Tevinter mage companion from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Dorian is practically known as a pariah to not just to society, but to his family as well. This is due to him being a gay man, which goes against what Tevinter expects from men of his status.
On April 22, , BioWare released a trailer for Dragon Age: Inquisition featuring gameplay from the game and confirming an October 7, release date.
Some spoilers within. The complexities of the plot; the branching story lines; the moral dilemmas; the constant juggle of companion priorities; the combat; the explore content. I realised recently that my approach to Mass Effect and Dragon Age romances is very similar to how I go about it in real life: I have some pre-conceived notions of who I might like to do kisses with, and I sort of tailor myself my character, my lifestyle to enable that.
But then I flirt wildly with absolutely everyone, and fall head over heels in love with the first person who takes the bait. I apologise to my long string of exes, but there it is. I identified this pattern in my life some few months ago, which allowed me to hit a new record of not getting into disastrous relationships, but the mirroring of my Dragon Age experience only occurred to me when starting Inquisition recently. With this in mind, I went off and really researched the romance options available this time around.
If love blooms on the battlefield, then so be it — but I refuse to let it bloom with someone completely inappropriate just because they have a cute smile and a can-do attitude. The first companion you recruit, Cassandra is a perfect tank who can also be developed into an excellent damage dealer or controller.
